A Visit to Special School- Asha Kiran

The students of B.Ed class visited Asha Kiran Special School of Children as part of their community outreach and social awareness program under the guidance of Dr.Monica Mahajan ,Astt Prof of GNCE Dalewal. The visit was organized with the objective of understanding the needs, challenges, and learning environment of children with special needs.During the visit, the students were warmly welcomed by the school authorities and staff members. The head of the institution gave a brief introduction about the school, its mission, and the various facilities provided for children with intellectual and physical disabilities. The students observed different classrooms where special educators were using innovative teaching methods, activity-based learning, and therapeutic exercises to help the children develop their skills.The B.Ed students interacted with the children and participated in various activities such as art, music, and games. They also distributed stationery items and refreshments as a gesture of love and support. The visit helped the students understand the importance of patience, empathy, and inclusive education.Overall, the visit was an enriching and emotional experience. It inspired the students to contribute towards social service and to promote equality and respect for children with special needs. The program concluded with a vote of thanks to the school authorities for providing the opportunity to learn and serve.
